Wolverhampton, in the Black Country is a great destination for a short break. A former industrial town, the coal pits and metal works are in the distant past but not forgotten and you can visit the industrial heritage at Dudley’s excellent Black Country Living Museum. The art and mansions owned by industrialists can be seen in the galleries and have become museums, don’t miss the jaw dropping Wightwick Manor and Wolverhampton Art Gallery. The Victorian Wolverhampton offers great shopping and the famous Grade II listed Grand Theatre.
For those who like being active and enjoying the great outdoors, there are beautiful Golf Courses nearby and plenty of fishing. Local attractions also include the West Midlands Safari Park, Cadbury World, the Sea Life Centre and Severn Valley Railway. For the more adventurous, Alton Towers and Drayton Manor theme parks are about one hour away.
For business travellers we are located near to the local business parks and with easy access to the NEC and the M5, M6, M42 and M54 motorways.
We believe that the Mercure Wolverhampton Goldthorn Hotel is a perfect choice for a business or leisure break in Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.
